Pay attention.
A lot of people think that global warming is a made-up story from who knows who, and that actually nothing is happening to the planet. To those people I say: WAKE UP STUPID!Look around you, and stop being so stubborn. This is not about politics or what party you belong to. This is reality and you need to take it serious.
I love this ad for WWF because makes you see what could happen if we keep on going this way.

Don't smoke!

I came around this print ad a few days ago, and I saved it to my mac just to send it to my mom on an email! Unfortunately she smokes. I know, bummer. So I do everything I can to let her know that her smoking is not only hurting everyone around her but most of all herself.
The ad is for Nicotinell:42 which I'm guessing is something like Nicorette.

Fuse TV - Music is... Campaign.
I'm obsessed with this new campaign. They did a bunch of spots with different types of executions (some animated, some real people, some with a sock character haha). Each spot tells a different story leading to the end when the tagline shows: Music is therapy or Music is your soulmate, or Music is _____etcetc. The campaign was done by The Brooklyn Brothers agency.
I first noticed it on tv and the song just pulled me in. Then I went to youtube to check it out and I found the other spots. There are like 6 different ones, but the version I'm talking about is the Soulmate one. The song is beatiful, is called Question by Old 97's. I love it so check it out:

That soulmate one is cute (I love the knit pizza slice) and my second favorite of the bunch, but my favorite one out of all of them is this one:
"Music is therapy": I feel the message is awesome, and I'm pretty sure that a bunch of people can relate to that. Besides the whole rewind effect is awesome.
I've never been to Fuse Tv but I assume is about music haha. I'll guess I'll check it out one of these days.
What did you think about the campaign? or about Fuse Tv?

What's up with the gorilla?
Last week in Cannes, France the 55th International Advertising Festival, where all the big players in the industry gather every year to look and award the best work in advertising.
For the first time, two ads won the Grand Prix on the film category, and one of those ads was the one for Cadbury's campaign featuring a gorilla drummer. There's a lot of talk over the internet about this ad, because a lot of people just dont get the message. I believe that's a really bad thing since the whole point is about sending a clear message to your consumers. But at the same time it has created a lot of buzz online and at least among advertising aficionados :)
When I first saw it, I would've never ever think that it was for Cadbury's dairy milk chocolate. Apparently it was made by Cadbury's new production company called "Glass and a half full". The whole campaign was actually launched for the UK, but thanks to the amazing internet it has spread around the globe.

Check it out:
My interpretation of the ad, is that the whole attitude of the gorilla is trying to portray the feeling of eating the chocolate, that explosion of flavor you get when the chocolate actually melts on your mouth. But hey, that's just me. And personally, I love the ad, I love the facial expressions, and the music, and the gorilla rockin' the drums :)
What's your interpretation?

Brandslides.
I kept surfing around Slideshare and I found this incredibly awesome presentation about building a brand, and the common mistakes or obstacles that come up along the way, and I loved it. I warn you: it is pretty long, BUT it's pretty cool too :) Check it out!
Creative slides.
Not too long ago, I found out about this site called SlideShare, which is pretty much that: people sharing their slides. Apparently is a pretty big community and they claim to have a slide presentation on almost any topic.
There are a lot of silly, not useful at all, and just plain crazy slideshows, BUT there are also genius presentations that communicate perfectly their message with a combination of great graphics, great layout (which I always appreciate) and to the point ideas. I have my couple favorites.
I find this site amazing, specially because I think it is very helpful for kids like me (ad students/wannabes), and at the same time I find it stupid that I didnt know about it earlier. However, I found really good slides and this is the first one I want to share with you.

Wazup.
So I just decided that I needed a place where to post stuff I like and also to have a place where I could go back and find it. Then I thought: while I'm at it, why not share it too?
I'm an advertising student so I'm kinda obsessed about it :) Hope ya like :)
